AgeWise Alliance helps you find and connect with professionals who support older adults and their families. Browse or search, then reach out to anyone whose profile looks like a good fit.
From there you work with the professional directly. You ask your questions, agree on the details, and they contract with you separately. We simply help you make that connection. We don't sit in the middle of your arrangement, in part to protect your privacy, so your personal details stay between you and the professional you choose.
No account is needed to get started. You can browse the Glossary of Professions and view the short version of any professional's profile completely free, without signing up.
To see a professional's full profile or save them to Your List, you'll need an account, and creating one is free. The AgeWise Guide and the Family Forum are subscription services.
We're growing, and reaching out to professionals across the country. Search by your location to see which professionals are currently available near you. Check back often, as new professionals join all the time.
Every professional applies, and the application is detailed. We ask about their experience, the services they offer, where they work, their website, and their public reviews. It takes real effort to complete, and that is on purpose. We review each application before a listing goes live, and we confirm the basics like the professional's website and contact details.
What we do not do is verify credentials, licenses, or insurance, and we do not run background checks. Some professionals list licenses and memberships on their profile. That came from them, and we have not confirmed it. So a listing is not an endorsement or a guarantee.
Here is what we think matters most. Nobody pays us to rank higher in any search, and we take no commission when you hire someone. What you see is not shaped by who paid us.
Before you hire anyone, do a little homework of your own. Read their profile, confirm licensing and insurance directly with them, ask questions, and look at their reviews. The questions below are a good place to start.
A short conversation up front tells you a lot. We suggest asking each professional:
When a professional has provided them, links to their Google and Yelp reviews are included in their full profile, so you can see what other clients have experienced.
Reading a few reviews, and asking the professional for references, is one of the best ways to feel confident in your choice.
Nope! All you need is a free account. Once you sign up, you can search for and contact as many professional experts and services as you'd like, free of charge.
Fees are set by each professional and vary by service and location. You'll discuss and agree on pricing directly with the professional you choose, before any work begins.
Searching for professionals and contacting them is free. When you hire someone, what you pay them is theirs. We don't take a piece of it, and nobody pays us to send you their way.
The AgeWise Guide and the Family Forum are subscription services for families, and professionals pay a subscription to be listed.
AgeWise Alliance does not keep your credit card information on file. Any payments are processed through Stripe (www.stripe.com), a trusted third-party payment platform.
First, please contact the service provider you've been working with and let them know why you're dissatisfied. Communication can be so helpful and, often, you and the professional can work through any issues in a positive way.
If you remain dissatisfied, you can leave a review on an independent site such as Google or Yelp to help other families.
Absolutely, and we encourage it. Reach out to as many professionals as you'd like, compare how they answer your questions, and choose the one who feels like the best fit. There is no charge for contacting them.
If you'd like to cancel or reschedule a service or appointment, please contact that professional directly.
AgeWise Alliance's role is to put you directly in touch with the professionals you wish to work with, so they will contract with you separately for the work you'd like them to do.
The Family Forum is a private, shared space where you can coordinate with the people helping care for a loved one, such as siblings, a spouse, close friends, or trusted professionals.
You decide who to invite. It keeps everyone on the same page so decisions don't fall on one person's shoulders.
The AgeWise Guide helps you understand your situation, figure out what to prioritize, and see which kinds of professionals may be able to help.
It offers general information and direction only. It is not a substitute for medical, legal, or financial advice. For those, please consult a qualified professional.
Your List is where you save professionals you're interested in, so you can compare them and come back later without starting your search over. You can add or remove professionals any time from their profile.
Your personal information is kept private. Details you share in your Family Forum are visible only to the people you invite, and professionals see only what you choose to share when you reach out to them.
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, and we never sell your personal information. Payments are handled by Stripe, so your card details never sit on our servers. For full details, please see our Privacy Policy.
If you work with older adults and their families, you're welcome to apply. Head to "Join as a Professional" to create your profile, describe the services you offer, and tell us how families can reach you. The form asks for a range of details about your practice, including your experience and your website, and there's a place to add a license if your profession calls for one.
Every listing starts with an application, and each one is reviewed before it goes live. You'll hear back within about 48 hours. Once you're approved, families looking for the kind of help you offer can find you and get in touch.
